Our Wedding Album

As you know we had the joy of participating in a wedding over the retreat weekend. It was such a classy and moving affair which everyone enjoyed immensely! Well, now is the time to share the wedding album with you so you can remember with fondness the beautiful union between Kerri and Brian.

The handsome groom getting ready for the big moment.

Brian and his mum have a special moment before the ceremony.

Brian's sisters looking simply gorgeous as bridesmaids for the event.

The stunning bride with her beautiful sister, who was the one to give her away.

The bride is just glowing as she walks down the isle!

Feel the love as the bride and groom see each other for the first time on their special day.

They can't contain their joy and love for each other as the ceremony runs.

The compulsory portraits after the ceremony, with everyone starting to relax.

All the single ladies reach up and hope that they will catch that bouquet and be the next one down the isle!!

What a beautiful wedding! Thanks to all the ladies who joined in on this special event!

Album Class

Hi Ladies

I had forgotten that I had posted this picture earlier, but here it is again of the album class (this is one of the classes that has not arrived yet). The colours are primarily deep maroon, grey, yellow, orange and green. If you click on the picture you should get a better look.
But to make it easy for you to organise your photos if you were to bring ........
1 x 6x8
2 x 5x7
30 x 4x6 (some of these are cut down)
But of course we can help you to make any size photos work. I think that even putting photos on at home after the retreat will work as well.
We will let you know as soon as we know the eta of this class, if you wanted to come in for a look before Thursday, I should know more on Monday.
see you all soon, Leisa

Update on Classes

Hello Everyone

Can you believe it is just 6 more sleeps to go, how exciting. Now I know that many of you are very keen to organise photos etc, so we have 2 projects ready to show you today. (Many of you know that we are still waiting on stock to come, so as yet 2 classes have still not arrived).

But any way, what you all have been waiting for, here is the Prima Layout.

Ang has created this Layout for us, hasn't she done a wonderful job. Ang has used a landscape 6x4 photo, but a 5x7 would work as well.

Now most things are included in your class kit, but extra things you might like to use are

- paper distressor (either the pink Heidi Swapp or the Tim Holtz ones do an excellent job)
- brown or black ink to distress the edges
- black pen for journaling
- 1 1/2 inch scalloped circle punch or Spellbinders for the title (SBC will be bringing these along if you don't have any)
- mounting tape

Now the 2nd class is going to be a stamping class, using some new stamps from Heartfelt Creations, plus something new that is exclusive to Heartfelt Creations, they now have co-ordinating Spellbinder Dies that match their stamps. So everyone in this class we be receiving their own set of stamps plus your own set of Spellbinders Dies. Take a look at the card the Sandra has created for the class

so this class is all about stamping and die cutting. Now we know that not everyone is into cards, so Ang has created a Layout for you to do as an alternative to the card if you prefer

Both creations just blew my breath away when I saw them this afternoon, the girls have excelled themselves.

Ok so if you would like to do the card you will need
- cuttlebug, big shot, or wizard if you have one (if not we will be bringing machines for you to use)
- silver ink
- clear embossing powder and heat gun, if you would like to emboss

If you would like to do the Layout, Ang has used
- Weathered Wood and Peeled Paint distress inks
- some bling
- plus an extra sheet of MME paper not included in the kit.

All of these beautiful creations are now in the store if you would like to view them before hand.

Now in Class #3 we will be creating 3 quick Layouts plus some cards (if you are keen). We will be using a collection of papers and embellishments from "The Paper Company", the collection is called "Grandma's Attic". I would probably sum up the collection by saying it is very "vintage", with apricot and brown type colour theme. I will do another post shortly to give you some more info on this soon.

And then finally Class #4 is a 12x12 Boxed Album kit from SEI called "Botanical". At CHA I did see a album completed and the colours are both femine and masculine. The album that I saw had pictures from a family's recent camping trip, so outdoor photos go very well.

I will also get photo sizes to you within the next day or two. Anyway stay posted more info coming soon.

Hello Everyone

Wow isn't the time flying, less than 3 weeks to go now. I have a few announcements today,

- I will start with the yucky stuff 1st. Full Payment of $375 is now due. Please pop in and see us or give us a call with your payment 3378 7257. Thank you.

- The stock for the classes is starting to arrive, stay tuned for the date for the pre-retreat evening, as soon as we can confirm that all stock is on its way we will set a date. It may now only be the last week before we go. But please stay tuned for that.

- We are now taking bookings for the massages. Bookings are essential so the our massages can plan their days. The cost is $22 per 20 minutes and you may have as many 20 min sessions as you like. Please note the massages are paid for in cash, direct to the massagers. oops forgot to tell you, they are planning on being with us for both days, Friday and Saturday, if we get enough bookings.

- And last but not least, Drumroll please .........we have decided we are going to bring back the Fancy Dress Evening. So I am thinking right now you are laughing with hysterics and excitement thinking of past Fancy Dress nights or you are thinking "Oh no, not again".

This retreats theme will be ........ "Your Wedding"......... so some hints for your fancy dress would be a Bridesmaid dress gone wrong, or even gone right, and maybe even your own Wedding Dress, we would love to see that. I can guarantee you that we will have our very own Scrapbook City Wedding hehe . For everyone keen to dress up (and of course you dont have to if you dont want to - we do also need an audience) you must be prepared to model your beautiful dress, i believe we may be having an appearance from Trinnie and Susannah again. OH NO.

If you haven't been before, it is all good fun, we just love having laughs at Scrapbook City.

And of course we will have some prizes, stay tuned for info on those.

- and finally please let me know if you haven't already about the challenge kit. Last day for the sale of those will be Wednesday 22nd September.

Can't wait to see you all soon
