Some Class Info

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well. I know that many of you just can't wait to get some class info, so here is what I can tell you so far.

1. Yes we are having an Album class again. This time the album is 12x12 plus you will receive a kit full of papers and embellishments. I can't tell you how many photos you will need yet, but I would recommend if you start thinking about a theme. The shop example is going to be "2009 - What a great year". We are trying to make everything as neutral as possible, but there may be "girlie" type papers in the kit. So put your thinking caps on, and start thinking themes. We hope to have at least 6 Double Layouts done as an example.

2. Because we loved it so much last time, we are having another class with products from Prima. I won't say too much more, but imagine Flowers, Flowers, and more Flowers. A portrait 5x7 or 6x4 photo would work for this layout. Check out the sneak peak of the top of this post.
3. Our 3rd workshop, is an "Off the Page" and it will be a calendar. I know you will love this, we have been planning this one for ages. No photos will be needed for this workshop.
4. And 4th but not least is Kathy's cards. I have seen them in the flesh, and they are truly beautiful.
Well thats all for now, more soon

Challenge Kits

Hi Everyone

Can you believe just 23 more sleeps, wow how close is that.

First of all could I please just remind everyone, that at least $300 needs to now have been paid. The remainder $50 is due no later than 1st October, thanks everyone.

Well the good news is, that I have just gone and ordered the Challenge Kits, yay.

Normally I don't give any clues as to what will be in the kits, but this year there will be a few twists, so I thought I would be kind and give some clues.

The kits will cost $50, but will be worth approx $80 retail. And the theme is "Christmas", and one of the challenges we will be asking you to make some cards.

Ok no more clues. The kits are strictly a limited number only and we will not be available for purchase at the retreat. And they must be prepaid. Sorry, first in, first served. Call me now (3378 7257) if you would like one. Even email if you don't want one, then we don't have to hassle you. Thanks everyone.

And finally please please please, let me know if you want a massage, and also if you want dinner on Thursday night, otherwise if not, arrival time is 7.00pm.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take Care
Leisa

Hi Everyone

Well can you believe it is just 38 more sleeps until our October retreat, yipee.

Now I know that many of you have been asking for some info, so here is what we have so far.

Yes, there will be 4 classes again. We are really really excited to announce that one of the classes will be a Christmas Card Class, and we are very fortunate to have Kathy Jones representing Just Rite Stamps, as our class instructor. Kathy is on the Design Team for Just Rite, you may already know her, she is a local lady. Take a look at her blog, I'm sure you will love her work

www.inspiredtostamp.blogspot.com

Now the great news is that in this class, everyone will receive a set of the brand new Christmas stamps from Just Rite, (so please don't go and buy any) until after the retreat. We will also be using Spellbinders dies, and using Tombow Markers. I have been having chats with Kathy, and I am so excited about this class. More info coming soon.

We are also having another Album class, plus an off the page class, plus another Layout workshop, but I promise more info soon as those.

I know for sure that Kathy's class will be on Saturday. The plan is to have 2 workshops on Friday and 2 on Saturday. Now if you plan to come late on Friday, please let me know, so that I can start working on a timetable.

We also hope to have a Retreat Open House here at the store, before the retreat, so that you can come in and see all the class projects. Get an idea of what photos and tools etc you may need.
At this stage that date is tentatively Thursday evening the 1st October approx 6.00pm.

We are now also taking bookings for massages. The cost is $23 per 20 minute session, and you may have as many sessions as you like. Bookings are essential, as we need to give the Massagers and idea before hand of how long we need them for. So please please book in before the retreat. You only need to pay once you are there.

Also Challenge Kits, would you like them again, do you know what they are? Drop me a line and let me know what you think.

And Fancy Dress, would you like this again?? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks everyone, and stayed glued for more info shortly.

Sunday, April 19, 2009

Hi Ladies,
Dinner is definitely on, on Thursday evening. We now have the numbers, so give me a call for payment if you can.
Or its still not too late to late me know if you would like dinner, but it must be today please.

Also I can now also confirm that we have the Massagers for both Friday and Saturday, and its not too late to book in for a massage.
Thanks everyone, just 3 more sleeps, Leisa

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Hello again.
Probably lots of new posts will come between now and Thursday, so please keep checking this blog everyone.
But what I need right now is final numbers for massages please. We have to have these prebooked so I know how many massagers and how many days we need them for.
If possible can I please have final numbers by Saturday 18th, I am at the shop until 4.00pm, give me a call on 3378 7257, its $22 per 20 minutes, you are welcome to have as many 20 minute sessions as you like. Just bring along cash to pay the massagers on the day.

Also this time we have quite a few groups of 5, but in the past we have put the tables in clusters of 4 (with 2 People on a table). Unfortunately we may not have enough tables to put a 3rd table together so that 5 can be together (this would leave a spare space), but what I am thinking is have some clusters of 10, this would be for 2 groups of 5. This wouldn't be the case for all tables, but just enough to keep the groups of 5 together. Let me know if you are not ok with this.

Also please let me know in advance if you have any special dietry requirements, ie vegan, etc.
We must know in advance.

Also Challenge Kits must be paid for prior to the camp, we will only be bringing enough kits for those ladies who have paid.

Thanks everyone, just 6 sleeps now, how exciting.
Leisa
